Certificate of Higher Education in Business and Management

Course Overview

The Certificate of Higher Education (Cert HE) Business Management is a one-year course designed for students who do not quite meet the entry criteria to go directly into year 1 of an undergraduate degree. It is equivalent to 120 credits at Level 4, which is the same as the first level of a Bachelor’s degree.

The course was designed to introduce students to the essentials of business and management and key business concepts. The Cert HE can be a first step towards a business-related degree or as a beneficial stand-alone qualification. For students wishing to continue studying at university on a business and/or management degree, this certificate enables them to progress directly to second-year studies (or third year in Scotland).

The Cert HE equips students with an understanding of business and management equivalent to a level 4 qualification (or level 7 in Scotland).
